The Fine Print

Terms of Service

The local rules for this course. Short, fair, and written by golfers — not a legal department.

The basics

By browsing muckingfiddle.com or buying from us, you're agreeing to these terms. If you don't agree with them, no hard feelings — but please don't use the site. You need to be old enough to enter a contract where you live in order to place an order.

Who you're buying from

This site is operated by Mucking Fiddle Golf, based in Bluffton, South Carolina. Questions about an order go to [email protected]; anything else — wholesale, pro shops, press — goes to [email protected].

Orders, pricing, and payment

Prices are in U.S. dollars and can change without notice, though never after you've placed an order. Applicable sales tax and shipping are calculated at checkout before you pay.

Checkout and payment are handled by Shopify and its payment processors — your card details go to them, never to us, and we don't see or store them. Placing an order is an offer to buy, not a completed sale. We may decline or cancel an order and refund you in full if an item is out of stock, if we spot a genuine pricing or description error, or if we suspect fraud.

We do our best to keep photos and descriptions accurate, but hats may vary slightly from their pictures — screens differ, and so do production runs.

Shipping, returns, and refunds

All of that lives on its own page — see Shipping & Returns. The short version: we ship fast, and if something's wrong, we make it right.

Our stuff is ours

The Mucking Fiddle Golf name and tagline, the logos and patch designs, the photography, and the words on this site belong to Mucking Fiddle Golf and are protected by trademark and copyright law. Enjoy them, share links to them, wear them proudly — but don't copy them, print them on your own merchandise, or pass them off as yours. That's a two-stroke penalty and a letter from us.

Your stuff stays yours

If you send us a review, a photo from the course, or anything else, you keep ownership of it. By sending it, you're giving us permission to show it on our site and social channels with your first name, and confirming it's yours to share and doesn't include anyone who hasn't agreed to appear. Tell us to take it down and we will.

Fair play

Please don't scrape the site, break into it, overload it, resell our products as your own, or use anything here to mislead people. Ordinary browsing and buying is all this site is for.

What we promise, and what we don't

We stand behind our hats — if a patch or the stitching fails, we replace it. Beyond that, and to the fullest extent the law allows, the site and its contents are provided "as is" without other warranties. Nothing here takes away consumer rights you have under South Carolina or federal law.

What we're not liable for

To the fullest extent the law allows, Mucking Fiddle Golf isn't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from this site or our products, and our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid for the order it relates to. A great hat improves your look, not your handicap — we make no promises about your golf game, and any shots that find the water are entirely your own.

Links to other places

Some links point to sites we don't run, including our checkout on Shopify and our social accounts. We aren't responsible for their content or their policies — read theirs when you get there.

Site availability

We aim to keep the site up and accurate, but occasionally things break, sell out, or contain the odd typo. We'll fix what we find, and we may change or pause parts of the site — including the shop — at any time.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina, where Mucking Fiddle Golf is based, and any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts there. If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still stands.

Changes

We may update these terms as the business grows. The date at the top always tells you the current version, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it.
